About the Event

European Minority Ethnic Citizens' Safe Space (EuroMECSS).

Welcome to the first EuroMECSS' gathering 2024. Following the formation of EuroMECSS, the EU rights subgroup, as a safe platform dedicated to bringing European Minority Ethnic Citizens together to raise awareness of mistreatment at the hands of the Home Office and calling for greater representation in the Third Sector, and in conversations with institutional entities, we are launching the EuroMECSS event to organise, connect and empower our communities.

The EuroMECSS' gathering aims to provide a safe environment for EU citizens from Minority Ethnic backgrounds to share our post-Brexit stories, experiences, and perspectives, which are too often overlooked and neglected as we are kept out of conversations that matter to us .

Through thought-provoking discussions, we seek to promote inclusivity, diversity, equity and equality in the UK and beyond.

Whether you are a European Minority Ethnic citizen or a family member, this online event is the perfect opportunity for you to connect with like-minded EU citizens, engage in meaningful and uncomfortable conversations, and build the future of Europe you want to see in the UK and beyond. EuroMECSS is your safe space to share your lived experience, frustration and hopes with people who understand you.

From exploring our rich cultural heritage to discussing social and legal issues affecting us and our loved ones, we will cover many topics that matter to you.

Join us online and be a part of this unique and empowering experience. Together, United in adversity, let's celebrate our diversity and work towards a more inclusive and equitable Europe.

Black Europeans being led by the community, we would like to encourage you to help us draft the agenda ahead of the event. Please send us your ideas.
