About the Event

A free screening of nine short animations commemorating the Porajmos - the genocide of Roma and Sinti during the Second World War - illustrating the stories of survivors and victims. Followed by a Q&A with the films' Creative Producer, Lisa Smith.

These nine stories not only tell painful truths focusing on death and loss, they are also stories of resistance, cohesion and finding a path back into life. The title film of this shorts collection notes that "the second time people die is when they are forgotten". But these films are a call to remember, making history tangible and alive.
