About the Event

Experience the soulful melodies and lively rhythms of authentic Gypsy music performed by Taraful din Glasgow. This talented group of musicians hails from the Bihor region of Romania and has found a new home in Scotland, bringing with them the rich musical heritage of their ancestors. Their performance is not just a concert; it’s a gateway to understanding and appreciating the depth of Roma culture.

The night will be made even more special with the presence of dance caller Andras Makra, who will guide you through traditional dances. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or have two left feet, Andras will ensure you feel the joy and community spirit that is at the core of a true village party from Transylvania. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to celebrate International Roma Day with us. Join hands, stomp your feet, and let the music lead you through an unforgettable evening of cultural exploration and fun.
