About the Event

United in Migrant History: The Colours of Greenwich Archive Exhibition

Join Creating Ground for an exciting event that celebrates the vibrant history of migrants in Greenwich! The Colours of Greenwich Archive Exhibition will showcase the rich cultural heritage and stories of migrant women in Greenwich today.

Starting on Saturday 7th October 2023 at 12pm, this in-person exhibition will take place in The Lounge at the UEL Docklands Library, University Way, London, E16 2RD.

  • Drop in throughout the day 12pm-5pm to explore the exhibition.
  • Join at 1pm for a formal handover talk to hear the stories behind the exhibition.
  • At 4pm, you are invited to bring a dish for a shared dinner in the archives.

Discover the Living Refugee Archive's materials that influenced Crating Ground's first history project, listen to their stories, and understand the experiences that led to them symbolising their history in the fabric map of Greenwich.

Whether you are a history enthusiast, a migrant, or simply curious about how history can be made accessible for all, this exhibition is not to be missed. Come and be a part of this unique celebration of migration, unity, and diversity.
