Ethnic Diversity and the EU Settlement Scheme
The population of EU citizens in the UK is diverse, with 20% of people shared through the 2021 England and Wales census that their ethnicity is not white. Despite individual reports of systemic racial discrimination with the Home Office, there has been limited research into the problems experienced by specifically by people from ethnic minority backgrounds in securing and proving their immigration status through the EU Settlement Scheme.
This report analyses hundreds of reports received directly from EU citizens from ethnic minorities who have shared their problems securing and proving their rights.

This policy paper communicates the key insights from research carried out within the Common Ground project, exploring UK-EU relations post-Brexit and advocating for EU citizens' rights in the UK.
It offers recommendations for policymakers to foster cooperation and engagement, emphasising constructive public dialogue and support for EU communities to thrive.

Advocacy and Campaigning Toolkit
This toolkit is intended to be a guide for organisations working with EU citizens and their family members with rights conferred by the Withdrawal Agreement who want to expand their campaigning for change.It is intended to help organisations influence decision-makers, advocating for policy solutions informed and led by the lived experience of EU citizens in the UK who are facing issues with the EU Settlement Scheme.

Beyond Brexit: Public perspectives on the future UK-EU relationship
This British Future report analyses new research on public attitudes towards the UK’s future relationship with the EU.
It covers such issues as whether people would support closer cooperation between the UK and EU, including on specific issues; the extent to which the public feels the UK-EU relationship is important for the future; and whether people feel there are shared values or a shared sense of identity between people in Britain and the European Union.

International Conference 2023. Key results of the first year of the project
The Common Ground 2023 International Conference marked a crucial milestone in the first year of the Common Ground project. This initiative, led in partnership by Fondazione Giacomo Brodolini, the3million, and British Future, seeks to support EU citizens in the UK, fostering stronger UK-EU ties post-Brexit through research, advocacy, and strategic engagement. The conference convened key stakeholders, experts, and community representatives to assess progress, discuss pressing issues, and explore avenues for future collaboration.

Stories of Hope. Unlocking creativity and discovering stories of EU citizens living in the UK
This publication is a collection of entries submitted to the two editions of the Stories of Hope photography open call - an art competitions run within Common Ground project.
Through photography and storytelling we nurture understanding, empathy, and solidarity within the diverse communities of EU citizens who call the UK their home and got to appreciate the richness of the social fabric weaved by migrants in the UK.
